The Andrew Linham Jazz Orchestra is an 17 piece contemporary big band playing the music from some of the great big band pads as well as original compositions of bandleader Andrew Linham. The band is packed with great soloists with all the musicians busy working on the London jazz scene. In 2013 was the premier of ‘The Linferno Suite’ which was Andrew’s first major big band work followed by the premier of Andrew’s second major work ‘The Theme Music of Anarchic Animals’ which his big band played to critical acclaim at the London Jazz Festival in 2015. The band released it’s first Cd ‘Weapons of Mass Distraction’ in 2017 which received excellent reviews in the jazz press. With a full and bristling pad of compositions ranging from traditional big band writing to funky tunes and pop power ballads, you can be sure of a fabulous evening of big band jazz.

“As a Basie fan for about 60 years I can honestly say that your sound is the closest to The Count I have ever heard” – London City Big Band @Ronnie Scotts 2014

“The cleverly titled ‘Weapons of Mass Distraction’ CD firmly establishes the Andrew Linham Jazz Orchestra has a signification addition to today’s big band scene and a group that deserves wider recognition at the international level.” – Ed Enright, Downbeat Review (Editor’s Pick) December 2017
